A QUICKIE
Just a quick post........ Like the new job, back in my old office that I was in while in the Army. We do alot of cutting edge/before anyone else can figure it out stuff so it is always interesting. A question for the -7 people that ever read this...so I am not expecting an answer. I need to find someone or find a program or even an online service to create a logo. These are my 2 attempts, and as you can see, I have NOOOOO talent in this area: (since I can't insert a pic here, I have made one example my user pic, and if u click on my pics, u can see the other) any help would be awesome!!! KEEPING IT UP....
KEEPING IT UP....the posting that is. Still haven't heard anything about the new job...my ex-boss is going to ping them to hurry up me getting over thr. I just took Friday and Monday off to have a 4 day weekend to work on the house while the Wife is away to Cali. I ripped up the red shag 70's carpet in the finished room in the basement. Now we just need to pick a new flooring that we can agree on. Also was able to gut half of our master bath....the shower stall framing and built in cabinet. Now we can fit a tub, a jacuzzi tub in. We will almost be done with the house after those 2 jobs r finished; just the main bathrm and the rest of the wallpaper thru out the house and it will b all done. Then I can concentrate more on the yard and get that lookin good. Other than that, just missing my wifey, but she is having fun seeing all of her fam out in Cali....plus her Grandfather is sick so...for a good cause. | | Wednesday, August 26th, 2009 | | 9:14 am |
A real long time
Yes, again, it's been awhile since I have posted. I never seem to have time at home to post and the site was blocked at work...or at least where I was working on a contract for my company. I am currently back at my companies HQ so here we go. Kitchen just needs some smoothing out and a final color on the walls and it is done. Tile is all down..in kitchen and foyer. Family room, foyer, and hallway all painted. I will tear up the horrible red shag 70's carpet from basement to prepare for new flooring; which my and the wife r still trying to decide on. Semi-gutting the master bath also within the next 2 weeks...probably this weekend. I am doing all of this new stuff over the next 2 weeks because Yoli is away to Cali for about 2 weeks. I want her to say 'wow' when she gets back. We had a turtle as a pet for awhile now...within the last couple weeks tho we got 2 birds...it's a Mexican thing I guess...but they r awesome I must admit. In the middle of negotiating a new job with a different contracting company. With the current job i was contracted on my co-worker and i got pulled...alot of politics and too long of a story. So, got another call from my old civilian boss from when I was in the Army and he had another job opportunity, so...I am going thru the process and hope to get an offer by today or tomorrow. I hope today because I would love to take a few days off to really work on the house and use up my leave. We shall c. We are getting all our windows replaced sometime in december as we currently have single pane windows now and what is the point of our new HVAC system that is 96.5% efficient if our windows r not. I am super psyched, I think Yoli is just happy that..well I'm sure she doesn't care at all actually. I sure will b happy when I see our utility bills go down. The company guarantees 30% but says alot of times its closer to 50%....can't wait. Other than that, just saving up to do the bath and basement flooring...my deadline set by the wife is just by the time the baby is born...its do-able. I think that is everything that has been going on... peace | | Wednesday, May 6th, 2009 | | 2:08 pm |
BEEN AWHILE
Yes it has, don't even kno where to start because I don't kno where i left off. Well...95% of our kitchen cabinets r in, counter-tops just installed this Tuesday, Yolanda got orders to go to Afghanistan for a year (guess we are getting pregnant sooner than we thought, only by a few months tho), Yolanda was hit by a tractor trailer Wednesday night on her way to school...car totaled..thank God she is ok...just the usual stuff. Guess I am getting a new car a little sooner than I thought. I am working, have for just over a month...starting a month later than I thought tho. And now my old civilian boss/friend when I was just in the Army called me last week saying a federal job was opening up, crazy. It is a GS13 level job so, although a little sooner than I thought, I figured I would go for it because it was my plan anyway. I have 7 years in the Military, which means I would only have to work another 13 to get a pension. Now, I would work longer because it would b a small 1 but still. And it pays a couple grand more than I make now, which is always good. R u getting the feel for things in my life, most r good...just sooner than planned. I'm at work so I gots to go. peace Current Mood: crazy | | Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 | | 9:09 pm |
AUSTRALIA
So, I am finally posting about my trip to Australia, not that anyone is really waiting for this except my sister maybe, but, here goes.... Well, we left Washington/Dulles int airport on the 4th of FEB at like 1500 and were in Cairnes by like 1200 noon on the 6th…whoa what a trip. Time zone changes and a 5 hour flight to LAX...a 7 hour layover then to Brisbane Australia, another 2 hour layover and finally to Cairnes. So, the first day we were there, in Cairnes, we checked out the surrounding area and we went to the Cairnes night zoo, which was great. (I will interject here: I post all my pics on photobucket, so, if you want to see them, just ask and I will give you the link and username/password.) The next day, the 7th we...ok, I waited to long to do this post and I have a horrible memory...this will not be in exact order...sorry. We went to a night market that was a bunch of souvenir shops and little restaurants, it was cool. We also went to a casino there that had a clear dome at the top with a zoo on it, really cool. It was a small casino with mostly slots so, not that impressive. Cairnes is very much so a tourist/spa/resort town. I am sure it is because that is where you go to go to the Great Barrier Reef. We went to the reef...so amazing! We just snorkeled vs. scuba because I think Yoli was a little scarred, plus it was quite a bit more money. But it was awesome. All of the colorful fish and the coral were just amazing, and it was all within reach...we touched it, sure. On the 9th, we went to Sydney, which is very much a city. It was great, a good mix of city life and tourist-ness. We went to the Sydney Zoo, Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Opera house, Sydney bay bridge, China town…yes they have one too, Sydney Sky tower, we saw it all...it was great. We had so much fun; it was a trip of a lifetime. That we have now been on 4 out of 7 continents is awesome...that we have now been below the equator/southern hemisphere is awesome....it was just awesome. Now the flight back, not so awesome. I mean we still had a row to ourselves, but, we just couldn't sleep and by the time we were physically in our home, deathly ill. I think we both caught the flu because we were both bed ridden with fevers for like 3-5 days. Oh the humanity. I am now, as of this post, 3 days away from being out of the Army “officially”…and 5 days away from starting my new job. Exciting/scary/interesting/scary….did I mention scary. Just have a lot of anxiety because the Army is so safe(job security wise)…been in the civilian market before, I didn’t join the Army until I was 27. And now it’s not just crappy jobs, I am going to be in the ‘professional’ world. It’s all good tho, if I survived Iraq, I can survive anything I guess. peace Current Mood: giddy | | Monday, February 2nd, 2009 | | 9:01 pm |
LIFE
Well, my second job offer that I got I accepted, yeah! Money is more than I ever thought I would ever make, the benefits r great, commute will be only 25 min...in rush hour, and people/job I will enjoy a great deal. So all-in-all, it is good stuff. And thank god because I really did not want to have to worry about getting a job while we were away on "vacation" in Australia. (which we leave the 4th of FEB, back late the 11th) Going to be just awesome. Trying to make up for lost time from when I had surgery mid JAN. Trying to do as much cheap/free/easy stuff to the house. Basement is essentially painted/caulked, all wallpaper is off the walls in foyer/hallway and I started to skim coat the walls, just cant loose the glue so... We r really doing alot of research on floor tiles/cabinets for the kitchen/counter-tops/appliances so that when we get back from "vacation" we can start getting stuff and doing the kitchen. We r very excited to get started. Well, time for sleepy time. peace Current Mood: giggly | | Saturday, January 24th, 2009 | | 8:39 am |
A POSTING I WILL GO....
Well, I have been on leave for 24 days now, and this is what has been going on..... The first week, I worked on the house a little. Our basement, and I should post a pic to really show it, has fake 70's wood paneling on all the walls and has horrible 70's red shag carpet. Now what I have been doing is painting the paneling (saw it done on a fix-it show) and it looks great. Almost done with that, I actually have a friend coming over to help finish it on Sunday. Week 2, pretty much had some kind of sickness, which was not good because I was going in the following week for surgery. Didn't get much accomplished that week, but I tried. Week 1 & 2 I did start looking for a job of course, posted my resume on a couple government/security clearance job sites to get the ball rolling. Now to week three, surgery. If you have ever heard the story that it is 10 times worse/painful/etc to get ur tonsils out as an adult, 110% true. I had to do it though, had to. So, that has been my living hell the last 2 weeks and so of course, more nothing getting done. I absolutely hate it. There are so many things I wanted to do...to the house...and to just finally enjoy some time off after not taking any for 2 years...ugh...that this getting nothing done sucks. I am ramping up again, throat feels pretty good, so I hope to hurry up and accomplish some things. I know I will at least finish the wall in the basement. The floor is going to have to wait until we have some money. The other main project is every wall in my house has wallpaper; I know some of you can feel my pain when it comes to wallpaper, ew. So I hope to have it all striped, prepped, and primed; which shouldn't cost to much, just alot of effort. The other major project is the kitchen. Essentially it needs to be gutted, it is frozen in the 70's; appliances, flooring, wallpaper and all. First we need to start picking out materials first, which is what we will start doing now....this leads me into anther topic....a job. We have the money to redu the kitchen, but we decided/i decided that the money needed to be frozen until I get a job in case we needed to live off of it..logical I think, and Yoli was ok with it. I have received quite a few e-mails and phone calls about jobs so it has been a good thing. I have even talked to a few people and nothing was really moving forward, until this week. It was like all of a sudden the flood gates opened. I actually turned down my first offer, even tho the money was well, up thr. I mean, in the Army, with all of my benefits totaled, I make about 65,000...and i feel comfortable saying that because anyone can google it, it's public information. Well the offer was quite a ways above that so...u get my point, and yes, it was very hard to turn down but the commute would have been at least 1 hour 30 min each way...and we haven't even started having kids yet...u get the point. Now what made it a little easy...for lack of a better word...is that I got the offer on Tuse of this week, had a face-to-face interview on thurs that went very well, then that led to another offer..tentative offer I should say. See, I had to give my response to the first one by Friday, which was just way to fast for the second job to make an offer...at least written, that fast. They did call me and said how impressed with me and my skills/back ground and definitely wanted me, they just needed more time to draft an offer. So technically I have a job, but, if the money sucks...which they know what I am asking and said they have no issues...and if they can't start me March 2nd...which is when the Army stops paying me...those could be deal breakers and then its back to the search. All in all it is awesome, I actually have options, and it is still JAN, I still have an entire month to go. It would just be great tho to kno I have a job and in a sense have no worries before we go on our trip to Australia. Yes, we are going to Australia...for about a week and a half....we are so psyched! Well, I think that is my longest post ever, time to go. peace Current Mood: thankful | | Thursday, December 18th, 2008 | | 3:47 pm |
STUFF AND STUFF
Well, 1 week just about done and I have only about 4-5 more places to clear to get out of the Army. I also have a few pieces of equipment to find that I am signed for before I am free and clear. I hope to be done if not 99% done by tomorrow...Friday. Then I can just relax until 31 December which is my final out day. Then 2 months of vacation to really relax...to include going to Australia...which I am still so psyched about. Have received a few e-mails and a few phone calls about jobs, no good fits yet. Not to worried but I am a little anxious, which is understandable. We should be ok so I am not to worried. Went in last night for a sleep study to see why I was having issues sleeping...sleep apnea...of course...thanks again genes! Yes, father has it and Grandfather had it, so it at least spans 3 generations now. The down side is, it can take years off your life if untreated because of the lack of quality sleep; at least that is what 'they' say, plus I have to where a face mask thing to keep my air-flow going so I won't stop breathing and actually get sleep. The upside is, since I have never been diagnosed with it before, the Army has to pay me for this condition...for the rest of my life(unless it goes away)...to increase with the cost of living. A pretty good upside, but, I would rather not have to deal. I have other issues that the Veterans Affairs doctors will have to assess, I hope to get some pretty good money...I hope. Well, time to do some painting............ peace Current Mood: tired | | Wednesday, December 10th, 2008 | | 11:45 am |
BEEN AWHILE...AS ALWAYS
Since it has been a few, thought I would finally post... It is mid December and for some reason it is 58 degrees today. I like it but WTF? Well, this is my last week to work, I then start clearing the Army for the next 2 weeks starting the 15th of DEC, and then I am on vacation time for 58 days. I hope to find a job quick, I have already started to get a couple nibbles which is nice. I want to enjoy as much of my vacation time as possible; I haven't taken a vacation in like 2 years, I am burnt out! I am going to try and do a bunch of cheap/no cost fixes to the house during that time also, and the first week and a half in Feb we r going to Australia...a boyhood dream come true. Me and the misses have been all over the world, but I have a feeling that this will be 1 of my favorite places, even more than Rome. got to go! peace Current Mood: crazy | | Monday, November 17th, 2008 | | 12:26 pm |
THINGS TO DO....
These are the things I hope to accomplish while I am on my 58 days of leave from the Army before I am totally out: REMOVE ALL WALLPAPER IN HOUSE FIX WALLS IF NECESSARY PAINT WALLS PAINT CEILINGS INSULATE ATTIC BETTER GO TO AUSTRALIA INSULATE WATER PIPES PUT SOME PICS ON FACEBOOK GO THROUGH FILE CABS AND PURGE FIND A JOB!!! There is more, just can't think of them right now. peace Current Mood: content | | Tuesday, October 28th, 2008 | | 10:48 am |
UPDATE
Well, I'm officially a fat ass. Yep, a fat ass. I have not weighed myself for months maybe even more, but I did this morning while at the gym just for the hell of it. 196, DAMN! My heaviest ever, even more than when I was in Iraq when I hit 193. OUCH! Now, I am 5 foot 11, but still. Now I will also say, I work out like a mad man so that 196 pounds is muscle, but still. Never in my life did I think I would ever be anywhere near 200 pounds. Superficial yes but..... Other than that, life is good. We just had our new HVAC system put in, so that is a huge thing for the house that we will never have to worry about, at least not for the next 10-15 years. It is a 95% efficient system too, we do what we can for the enviro. No more big, costly projects...main thing we want to do over the winter is steam the wall paper off and patch\paint the walls and ceilings. I would love to redo the kitchen, we will have to see if there is any money for that tho. that is all for now peace Current Mood: full | | Monday, October 6th, 2008 | | 9:34 am |
DEPRESSED
Well, I am all depressed... I was supposed to run the Army 10 Miler on Sunday, didn't happen. So upset! I have extreme pain in my shins..not shin splints necessarily, but pain for sure. Usually tho, I would push on thru regardless of the pain, but I didn't this time because I have a physical fitness test this Friday and want to do really good because it will be my last one. Still sad tho. It was a good time tho anyway, and my wife ran it, longest run she has ever ran..never stopped running..and got a really good time..I was so so proud of her. Haven't done a hole lot on the house lately, but I do have a 3 day weekend coming up..that I didn't know about..that I want to do a bunch of things during, some in-door, some out. I really want to finish the last few out-door things we have left. Not much else to say, getting my resume ready for when I get out..really need to get to lookin for a job...I start clearing the Army in 2 months. peace | | Monday, September 15th, 2008 | | 10:51 am |
Stuff we have already done: -cut down all 4 of the huge over grown bushes in the front (and when i say bushes, i mean trees because these things were taller than our house) except for the stumps, they r so dug in, I don't know how Im gonna get them out -replaced the sockets in the kitchen and bath with gfi ones -taken all the original '70s curtains down, yuck -capped the chimney, so we have no additional residents -cleaned out the gutters -trimmed all of the other shrubs -sealed every little crack or hole so no critters or bugs can get in -have started to prepare the front railing for some rustoleum, should look good, better than the bit of rust now -we painted the family room, the only room in the house without wallpaper by the way, with 2 coats of kilz(primer) and it already looks a million times better add to the list: -installed a new bathroom exhaust fan and a vent pipe -cleaned all beds around the bushes we r cutting out/removing -removed wall paper in foyer, sort of -installed 1 of those curved shower curtains, we needed a little space...I hate when the curtain touches me -bought curtains and pole and installed both for family room -hung curtains we had in dinning room -went around and killed/pulled weeds from places they didn't need to b -had a meeting with ADT and they r installing our security sys the 23rd, can't wait! I think that is about it. We r slowing down a bit because thr isnt a hole lot left do do outside, at least this year. Come the winter, thr will be a lot more to do, just inside. everything else is good...got a gym membership to Balleys just down the road so it is easier to work out, especially during the weekends. Checked out directbuy(or buydirect, what ever), and signed up for it, should save us alot of money for the projects we have in mind....re-doing 3 baths and a kitchen. I guess that is all...just getting my resume ready to get out in about 3 months...guess I should hurry up. peace Current Mood: working | | Monday, September 1st, 2008 | | 5:29 am |
A post
Well, we just hit the one month mark at out new home, it's great! I am still getting used to a few things; driving to work instead of having a 5 minute walk, having to remember EVERYTHING I need for the day instead of being able to run back home or have Yoli bring me 'whatever', little things like that. Other than that it has been great. Some of the minor things we have done so far: -cut down all 4 (as of this sunday) of the huge over grown bushes in the front (and when i say bushes, i mean trees because these things were taller than our house) -replaced the sockets in the kitchen and bath with gfi ones -taken all the original '70s curtains down, yuck -capped the chimney, so we have no additional residents -cleaned out the gutters -trimmed all of the other shrubs -sealed every little crack or hole so no critters or bugs can get in -have started to prepare the front railing for some rustoleum, should look good, better than the bit of rust now -bought this weekend but not installed yet...a new bathroom exhaust fan and a vent pipe, which it currently does not have -we painted the family room, the only room in the house without wallpaper by the way, with 2 coats of kilz(primer) and it already looks a million times better we did just buy some stuff to strip wall paper, but i am trying to concentrate on the outside because i know that we can do the indoor stuff during the winter. Like i am really itching to start doing some demo work on our master bath but, it can wait. I feel like we have done more, at least when I think we have spent 1500 to date on fixes/repairs. Still haven't done any of the major stuff yet, but that will probably have to wait till next spring. And when i say major stuff, i mean stuff i 'want' to do. The house is in great shape, it just needs updating. That could include a new hvac system though...not cheap. I mean it works fine, but, it's like 25 years old...I think things have come a long way since then. Plus, I want to put in a tankless water heater...anything to help cut costs and to be more energy efficient ya know. We'll see, going to try to go back to sleep now.......later. peace Current Mood: tired | | Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 | | 10:18 am |
WEEKEND ACTIVITIES CONT.
Continued because I was being called for supper. Over the weekend we also placed a bid on this house we saw and really liked...got a counter offer..then we counter-counter offered...and they accepted. Its a 3 bed 2 full bath ranch; the rooms are huge; it has a full basement with 1 room already built and a half bath..that has the plumbing to be a full bath...off of it and there is still 3/4 left to do what ever with. The back yard is huge also, its on a 1/3 of an acre. It has a covered cement porch/patio off the back that could be screen in to become 3 season. All wood floors thu-out except the kitchen and baths which have linoleum or tile. And oh yes, it is frozen in the 70s, wall paper and appliances..the whole shootin match. Will be so fun updating everything, I can't wait. My wife just called saying the home inspection was this Friday so...my fingers are crossed because this is really the only part of it all that could kill the deal. The house is in insanely good shape tho, so I don't expect anything to come up. We have a date of July 28 as our closing, I hope everything goes well and we can keep that date, very exciting. peace Current Mood: cheerful | | Sunday, June 22nd, 2008 | | 4:55 pm |
WEEKEND EVENTS
Well, just got back from a 3 day adventure up in PA. It was my Grandfather's funeral, it went very well. Although it was a somber occasion, it was great to see my family, some of which it has probably been 15-20 years. So, we reacquainted ourselves and had as good a time as could be expected considering the circumstances. It was a good history lesson also because we got to see the 'HICKS' cemetery plot, and the family cemetery which had our family dating back to the 1700's. There had to be about a dozen Hicks headstones and quite a few Lockhart ones as well; which is where that name came from..... As the story goes, way back in the day, there were 3 prominent families that lived in the area and that were very close; the Hicks the Lockharts and the Crareys. And one day, there was some sort of Indian uprising, or something, that essentially massacred the three families. The only survivors were some of the Hicks'. So, the first born son after that was my Great Grandfather, Beach Crarey Hicks...and his brother was Lockhart Hicks. And really the only name that kept getting passed on was Lockhart, which is my middle name. So, we got a history lesson, took a ton of pics of the head stones, just interesting. We also have a relative that signed the Declaration of Independence, kinda cool I think. Well, that is all for now, got to go eat dinner. peace Current Mood: complacent | | Tuesday, June 10th, 2008 | | 11:54 am |
FOREVER
Since it has been forever, and since I don't call any of my friends or family, thought it was time to update my journal. Well, where to start.....in recent happenings, we just met with a mortgage broker and signed a ton of paperwork in prep for getting a mortgage on Saturday...also met with a real estate agent and we r already getting e-mails of house listings. This area is pretty pricey, but there are some bargins. The price range we mostly see is around 230-280. 1 even had an acre of land which is rare in this area. Very exciting times. I went to Colorado for work 2 weeks ago for about a week while Yolanda went to visit her fam in Cali for 10 days. There r more white ppl in Aurora, CO than I have ever seen in my life, whao. OK, so I am a self hating white guy, what ya gonna do. And of course Yoli had a ton of fun with her fam so... About 2-3 months ago I was put in charge of my office, and its like having 7 kids, oh my. It has been very busy, but I like it that way, other than I am still just 4 classes shy of my AAS and can't seem to find any time to take classes. UGH! Yoli is still hard charging though, still going full time. It is a good test to see if we can afford for her to be a stay at home mom because for about 4 months now it has just been my income. Plus, when I get out I will be making about 30,000-40,000 more so, should work. Just working hard, starting the hard search for a house(we hope to find 1 and move by the end of the summer), and lovin life....which has just been awesome now that me and Yoli have been together. After spending the first 2 years of our marriage apart, the last almost 8 months have been awesome! Going to my Grandfathers burial ceremony in mid-late June. Very sad occasion, but, I am really excited to see my 2 nephews and niece, it has been too long. And 2 weeks late we are going to go up 2 c them 4th of July weekend. We will probably drive, cause we hate flying and fly a lot; which will really only give us 2 days, but I would love 2 see the kids again and I want to see thr new house in person instead of just pics. Speaking of pics, Yoli and I get pics done ABOUT every 2 years and just got them done, they turned out pretty good I must say. Playing video games again...Half-life of course, Call of Duty 4, ya...it's fun stuff. I only get away with it because 4 days a week Yoli is at class...or she is playing Donkey Kong on the X-box. Oh, I guess I do have time to finish my classes....sssshhhhhhh. That is about all I can think of. In about 6 months I am a civilian again...hope to go to Australia towards JAN-FEB time frame....but thats about it. peace Current Mood: hot | | Sunday, April 20th, 2008 | | 6:22 pm |
Well, it is raining like mad, a good test for our new tent I guess. Yes, a new tent, we just bought about $500 worth of camping stuff last weekend. I can't wait till we go, it should be awesome. I have been put in charge of my office as of 2 mondays ago. The person in charge before has to leave because of a family emergency and is trying to get re-assigned. It would be awesome for my career if I were staying in the Army, but I guess it will look good on my resume anyway to be able to say I was in charge of an office of 8 people in a network admin office. I have 7 and a half months until I start clearing so I really need to get a move on. Well, my neck is killing me...from running...how retarded. peace Current Mood: drained | | Monday, April 7th, 2008 | | 4:22 pm |
A long time since posting
Guess I have just been super busy. Anyway.... Alot has been going on...my ipod would not hold a charge anymore. :( So, I bought a new battery and took the Ipod apart and put it in and now it is good to go. Yes, I am such a tech geek. Still have not put my computer (desktop) back together...it died just before I deployed to Iraq and since I have been back I bought a new mother board, new hard drive, new video card, and now I just need to get it going again. It will be awesome, all upgraded, just need to get the time to do it, ugh. We just finished weekend #2 going around to open houses to find the areas we r interested in buying houses and what we want/don't want in a house. I think we pretty much have that down, we will continue to go to open houses, but we r going to get a house either foreclosed by a bank or a town for taxes or just a fixer upper. I want a house on the cheap in other words. I think we will need to get some RE agents involved, but I am not looking forward to the harassing that will ensue. Overall it should be fun. I am trying to get the Army to pay for the house for about 6 months before I get out, why not ya know. Well, this will have to be continued tomorrow because it is time to go home. GOING OUR WAY
Everything is going so great right now.... I am 5 classes away from my associates in computer science, and I am enrolled in 1 of the 5 currently. I went to the promotion board Dec 1st and the points just dropped, so now I am being promoted to Staff Sergeant (E-6) which means more pay, more respect, more everything. We have zero debt, haven't had any for awhile...well, except for our cars, but I consider that good debt. We have a huge nest egg; sacrifice came with it, but we have moved on from that. We are able to live on just my pay; its tight some months, but do-able. Yoli is going to school full-time now and her semester just started. She has a part time job to pay for books but I think she will quit once she sees how much work 4 classes are. Plus, I know she tries/wants to get really good grades so... I love forcing her out of bed in the morning to go to the gym...not a morning person. I love laying on the couch at the end of the day with her in my arms. I love that we can hug anytime! I love that I don't have to talk to her on the phone!!! (for strangers, we were..i still am...in the Army and I was deployed for 12 months) We go out and do stuff, she cooks dinner, sometimes I do, it is just great to be living life together finally. Something else that I can't talk about here, Army hush hush stuff, went through...which will help with me getting a job. Just everything is going right and setting up for when I get out, it is just great. Oh, did I mention finding hair...wherever, ya, I love that too. Well, gots to go. peace Current Mood: finally |
